    It's the big day today.

I hope all of our American friends are contemplating doing their patriotic duty today :)

Oh my god yes! Even tampon commercials are better than the constant bombardment of political crap.

I don't know about other parts of the country, but here in CA, they'll let just about anybody vote...

They just asked our address, no ID, no tags, just gave us ballots...

As they should, unless you want to disenfranchise the homeless, etc.

    Oh wait...

I don't vote because I don't care :p Seriously it makes little difference to me, if anything I'd be a libertarian most likely, as I feel the government does not have the right to tell me or anyone else what they can or can't do.

So, vote for a libertarian! No, it makes very little difference except:
    - Medicare
    - public hospitals
    - reducing global warming
    - our involvement (or not) in Iraq and Afghanistan
    - r&d tax concessions (probably important in your IT industry)
    - migration policy, including how easy it is to get specialist IT workers from overseas in an industry with skills shortages
    - etc
