I bought this watch about 20 years ago from a guy in Canada. Don't remember what I paid, but not a lot. It's clean, keeps time accurately, and is the answer to my unaffordable yen for a Rolex 6694.
It's probably a Re-dial, and one hand has been replaced, but I like it a lot. The feel of the bumper at work is a friendly mechanical sensation... It's from 1955, cal. 354, chronometer grade (from Mr. Diethelm (sic) at Omega, only 33mm across, and really comfortable to wear. thanks for lookin' Don
Yeah, I knew the dial was a ringer, and the bracelet is from my "accessories" drawer. I often wear it on a strap, and don't think I can afford to source the proper bracelet. Thanks for the reply. Don
Sad redial. I find the bracelet way more interesting than the watch. Please post some picture of it instead
I mean it. The bracelet is interesting. Pls post pictures of it. Looking at my request again, I don't find it senseless, just curious
You don't really need a ref no for the beads of rice bracelets. Just search eBay for 'Omega Beads of Rice' and set up a saved search. They pop up in auction every few weeks. Furthermore, some don't have a ref no. If you search in this forum there are several threads discussing these bracelets.
I think Desmond's blog (someone posted a link To it in your Connie thread) has an article on there. You can get them new from Otto frei for about $300 I think also
