I'll let you read Desmond's article on these. http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.com/2009/03/rare-14311-globemaster-surfaces.html *
I would also refer the reader to my review of the 14311 here on Omegaforums. http://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-14311-a-chronometre-review.4566/
You won this! I was the under bidder Nice snag! Edit: in the same month I missed out on this as well (can't find a dial pic!)
Just noticed another one listed with RG regulator: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-OME...214062593?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item19e4dfec01Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Beware this listing as I own this watch and I am certainly not the eBay seller. The unfortunate thumbprint dial markings mark this one.
Glad you mentioned that, I was sure I had seen this same listing a few months back also, hope nobody got stung!
Weird that its a guy with 3000 feedback and a lot of jewellery sales, wonder what's going on there? Usually this sort of game is some hit and run zero feedback seller from Romania
I don't recall if it's the same seller who originally sold the watch but if it is then it could be listing something thought to still be unsold. I sent the seller a message so hopefully it is a favorable response.
I know you don't like to touch these things, but I was taking to some top watch makers last weekend and one stated that he uses naphtha to remove finger prints. Claims it dissolves them and does not hurt the dial. Your mileage may vary.
Taken down because seller confirms he has verified that he sold the watch to me - seems an employee of his was reselling returned watch and used the wrong pictures and description. I think it is an honest oversight rather than a move with malicious intent.
