No sign that it leaked! That had to have even exposed for a very long time.

I'm pretty sure that the watch was under water for quite a long time. Months, maybe over a year ? Ironic: Luminor Submersible.

Is it weird that I really dig it ?

    Yes.

But you do lots of weird stuff, so standard.

Yeah... seems like weird is par for the course. ..

The watch looks like it now even comes with wildlife in it

Not likely seen any water...there are techniques used to create "patina" like this on bronze watches. My guess is that it has not yet been cleaned off after using one of those techniques, so this is more if an in-process photo rather than final result.

I know people do this thing to other objects but would never have thought of someone doing this to such a cool watch. Unless it would be a fake ?

There is something strange here. I can not see any references to cheese at all.

The whole point of having a bronze watch is to have patina on it - some let it happen naturally, but others want "extreme" patina so they treat them in various ways...

I like the special patina that bronze watches get (the whole skin, sweat, pH thing that influences patina and makes it "unique" for each person) but this is a whole different thing. Maybe it's used as a prop or something ?

Bad news, your cheese has had it's patina faked.
