The Day finally arrived...(opinions on ladies'-sized dive watch sought)

A day I never thought would never arrive finally has arrived....my wife said "I think I could use another watch". Let me set the scene:
Over the last year and a half I have lurked here just trying to learn some basics on vintage Omegas. In the process have picked up a beautiful f300 Seamaster from Phil (hockey) who has been incredibly gracious with his time and knowledge, both in person and online. I also bought a great birthyear Speedmaster from Kirill. A few vintage Seikos (6309 and a Navitimer) have also found their ways into the rotation.
My wife, who has worn a Cartier Tank for the last 20 years, was neither negative nor positive about my jumping into the horological world. She could not understand why one would need to own more than one watch, but beyond that gave it no real notice.
Sitting on a beach recently she turned to me and said "You know, I think I could use another watch, something to go to the beach with, something made for being in the water and sand." After I picked my jaw up out of the sand I told her I would get right on it.
So, I'd like to hear opinions on options for vintage Omega's (Seiko's as well) that would fit a ladies wrist. Probably looking for something in the 39mm or smaller range. What about SM60 or SM120?? What other options could/should I consider?
Thank you for the input. It is a pleasure knowing that this is going out to a civil, pleasant readership that has a deep collective knowledge that is opinionated, which is what I am looking for. 馃槈
Regards,
Topher

Wouldn't recommend a vintage watch for those duties.

Seiko Diver 200. Omega Sm300 or SM300 retro master co-ax. I'm partial to the master co-ax... There's also a 37mm white, ceramic bezel, Planet Ocean. Just a thought...

Will do, Oddboy, I recognize the value. Give me a couple of days as I am out of town on work.

Thank you, Don. I will do some research on the Diver 200 and the retro master co-axial, those are two models I had not considered. As for a SM300, I must admit I am a selfish bastard and if I don't have one yet not sure my wife gets the first in the family. Finding one for her first might open the door to the conversation about one for me......hmmmm. Food for thought.

Hijak, I recognize the inherent risks associated with taking a vintage watch and submitting it to the abuses of travel/beach/surfing/swimming. How about suggestions of more modern dive/tool watches?
Thanks for the input.

Mid Size SMP 300 would fit well for ladies at 36 mm.

On the opposite side of the spectrum but Cartier does have a new diver model with j side movement and 300 Diving capabilities. Rotating Bezel and all. Definitely a great diver for ladies.

How about the Seiko SKX013?
It's a smaller version of the SKX007, and with the crown at 4 really comfortable - plus the straps are 20mm, so takes a host of different ones. It's the one on the left in the picture.

That is a solid contender as I am fond of some of the Seiko divers, I was not aware they had a mid-size version. Thank you.

I like the way that watch captures some of the classic Cartier style cues. Fairly hefty price tag. As always trying to balance wants/needs and budget.
Thank you,

This is an angle I had not considered. Trolling on this Forum I have gained an understanding as to the concept of "Dibs", but when the wife claims dibs that brings into play a whole other set of rules (I am assuming 馃槜).
I am not familiar with the brand, could you enlighten me?
Thanks, Standy.

Solid choice and they seem to come up fairly often.

Picked up from Matty01 a few weeks ago for a few hundred $.

Its a Sperina from the 70s a company that did not last the quartz age.
Have not found that much out yet besides

If your wife will really swim or diving with the watch, probably you would refrain to buy watch older than 1990 unless it has high pedigree such as ploprof or sea dweller.... and dont forget to properly service and water test them.
Probably I am bit paranoid but in my opinion vintage watches (more than 30 years old) should not be exposed to water or harsh environment.

How about a 90s/2000s Rolex Oyster? Waterproof, good beater and should be able to find one around or under the 2k range.

That or I would suggest a SMP Mid-Size.
