Welcome Pierre... The Polaris line must be due to start appreciating shortly.... I've always been put off by the bimetal case - how does it hold up to scratching? I kind of like the spider watches as well, I just wish there was an automatic....
Welcome. Any chance you can share a close up pic of the first and second watch? I have seen those before, but never had the opportunity to see a close up shot.
Hello, I have always been thrilled by the Dynamic series(80') and Titane (Polaris as they are called now) Omega's, not really interested in any other models from Omega. After my student period (early 80's) I bought a couple of Dynamic's new, 3 to be exact. Later I discovered ebay and started to buy parts and complete watches because I am not a jeweler. But Lately I started to buy Titane's, no stainless stea,l but Titanium as they have a nicer feel on the skin, and I think they are not the right one's. I will post some new pictures of my actual collection soon to share them with you.
Also sad you can only wear one watch at the time... Scratching? I always wear my watches as if they are made of soft metal... a men's bijou...
I admire you for the strength and integrity in choosing your own way. Too many (including myself) just follow.
This is my actual collection and I must stop buying now. Maybe... I am selling some of them, only to keep 2 or 3 for me and 2 for my wife...
Good evening, sorry, I saw your question just now, here's some pics but sadly (for me) someone bought the Palladium...
I have always been fascinated by the Titane since they first came out, I still look for them every now and then but have not pulled the trigger. To me they look very futuristic, a blend of Sci-fi and Ancient Egyptian, if it makes any sense...in other words, a class of its own. The Palladium is especially nice! Thanks for sharing, Pierre.
Well, today I couldn't resist to buy this one, not an Omega but a second Heuer, because I convinced my wife I can wear it with my yellow car... I will need something with a red dail now... After all it's 2015!!
Something I'd never seen before on a Polaris, GMT complication: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Omega-...131287387?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item58bd31eb5bPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I have to admit, nor have I, but I know various dials were used and not all shared with titane versions. The trunk is up front, the enginelid is kept open for better cooling
Hello Pierre, Hoping you can help me, I recently acquired this piece and can not seem to locate or find anyone exactly like it, I've found several with the black dial, but none with the gold dial, I know the reference is 386.1031 and the caliber is 1675, if you know anything else on this piece, I would greatly appreciate it, by the way, great collection!!! Phil
