The collection…

3 seems to be the right number for me. I’ve had more, I’ve had fewer, but these 3 all get a solid amount of wrist time. All are special, but the Cosmic is the standout- it was my Dad’s watch that he purchased in 1971 (my birth year) and I had totally refurbished by Omega last year (still have all the original parts that omega sent back after the service). Have thought about going for an all Omega collection (selling the Sub for another Seamaster), but I really like the way the 5 digit Sub wears. Maybe someday….but it’s a keeper for now…

Nice mix Maybe add a white dialled watch in there too.

I think you would be crazy to sell the Sub for a Seamaster.

I’ve heard before that three is the magic number… congratulations on your collection, they all look great, and form a solid group. Agreed, the Cosmic is really special, and love it’s connection to your Dad. Congratulations, and wear in great health!

Lovely trio without doubt. The Cosmic is very cool indeed.

If I did sell the Sub it would be for a vintage Seamaster 300….Something about those older models 😀

I've always loved the Cosmics, and that one is a very clean example. Nice one! Well, nice three!

All nice watches. But does three comprise a collection? We need a poll. 😉

This is a good topic for a thread. Maybe it has already been done before? My gut reaction was "no way", but I am open to being convinced.

Time to get the popcorn 😀 in my book, more than 2 curated items = a collection

Nice collection 👍.

As to the other comments, my watch box has 6 slots, so that’s my collection size 😉

As a three-watch collection, it’s compelling. You’re clearly wearing them all, the Speedy and the Sub are classics that have stood the test of time and you have a great heritage piece that means something to you.

I’d be tempted to add a proper dress watch, but you know your own style and indeed, lifestyle. Wear them all in good health!

Well I’ve had a few changes to the collection. Big news is that bumped the collection to 4 (does 4 constitute a collection ? 😀). I did end up selling the Sub. That was a hard one for me as I’ve always had a Rolex in the collection. I needed a dressier watch and after much debate landed on the JLC. The two Omegas as keepers, and I added a the Seiko as my beater dive watch that I’ll use for and abuse for sports, gym, etc. I am really happy with the JLC…it’s a stunner in person

Yep you're a goner now. Pretty soon it'll be 3 or more per week and you can join the big boys and girls.

And here I was hoping your next watch would be a Heuer.

Three does constitute a collection IMO, but there is no way that I could pare my collection down to that number. I'm currrently at 12 and I'd love to pick up a few more.

Salute you. I think all of us are at least in part envious that you can stick to just three. Can definitely see a trend with this trio. Which one are you reaching for on formal occasions? Im guessing the speedy since its on a strap?
