I was going to post a similar question.

The seller posts a lot of watches for sale. Not sure if dealer or has a massive collection that he is whittling down.

Well thats definitely not an original bezel though the seller says it is original. The fonts are off. Also, it isnt even a 2913?

 

I can't believe he started bidding at a dollar? He must have a high and hidden reserve price, no? There is another on eBay with a "buy now" price of USD $29,000. On Chrono24, they are averaging about $12,000, but none are in this condition or of this vintage. I'm dying to see what it sells for! His mom better need a kidney transplant or something to part with this! Can eBay sale be cheaper than Christie's?!?!

 

Oh my! Maybe got excited too soon! He certainly sounds believable!!!

 

Also, that dial does not look right. The 12-3-6-9 are too large in font.

$29k is just European Watch Co and their standard pricing.

 

Is cal 286 kosher for that watch?

 

That is a 2914 not a 2913. Looks nice to me just way too expensive.

 

Why no inside shot of the case back?

 

the first watch has more going wrong than right...the 2nd watch is just stunning.

 

Back to the 2913 I see some parts that were not on that watch when it left factory:
Dial
Hands
Bezel
And what about the movement ? What serial?
And the case back?

 

Geez - you guys amaze me! I admire your encyclopedic knowledge of how these old beauties should look! Seeing that old Railmaster has whetted my appetite for the new LE! I'll never be buying a $29,000 watch in this lifetime!
