That's right! I was snooping around the internet and came across this picture of John Cleese as Basil Fawlty wearing a grey/blue Seamaster ref. 176.007. I just thought I'd share.

The folks here always recommend I should watch it but I haven't finished all seasons of Father Ted, so Fawlty Towers has to wait...

Nice find. John Cleese obviously had good taste!

Used to watch the show all the time. My brother had that LP and used to spin that regularly and laugh we did. Way way before I ever got into watches - so very cool to see the Seamaster. Thanks for sharing

One of the few things my Dad and I watched together. We'd laugh from start to finish. I bought the CDs but sadly not as funny without my dad to watch them with.:(

My father and I use to watch it together a lot as well, it was one of our favourite TV shows.

I was sure I would find a watch from Barcelona when opening the thread...

    Good catch on that Seamaster!

I was living in England when Fawlty Towers aired. That and Rutland Weekend Television made the end of Monty Python's television run far more bearable.

I was a teenager in the mid 1970s and Faulty Towers was the funniest programme on TV. It still cracks me up even though I probably know all the lines by heart. The charactisation was superb and the scripts were sublime - it would not be allowed in today's politically correct climate...

I would rather have the Seamaster.
