Haha. 58! If only there was technology to do simple arithmetic. ::facepalm1::
Our kind of watches don't have that tech.....

didn't know the X-33 is being used....would be cool if the next gen from Omega used an MIP display for clear contrast on the digital info....looking forward to the launch today....

Dang, I forgot to put on my x-33 today! My kid and I are watching the live stream now.

I was trying to get my kid excited, and he loves going to the air and space museum, but the most I could get out of him was, "it's pretty good, I guess." Space travel is less exciting than pokemon today, I suppose.

Never was able to try on the original X33 Speedmaster, thought about picking one up every now and again. Did like the X33 Skywalker for more legibility. And the Solar one which recharges the battery had a nice color scheme.

Tried on the X33 Marstimer which was extremely comfortable and had more settings than one knows what to do with. But was able tough sell at 7K at the time.

Great tool watches and might look into picking one up at some point if the timing is right.

I love my Solar Impulse. Sadly, it is not solar powered. I really wish it was.

I have to stay, watching the launch was such an uplifting experience, which is a contrast from most other times I've turned on the news lately.
Here's to a safe journey!

Well that's false advertising 🤣 Heck Casio has had that technology in their watches for years, so figured with the name Solar in it, auto-charged the battery.

So I suppose the real question is......what is Omega going to bring out to commemorate this occasion? 😀

Or, do you think they will wait until 2027 when we actually hit the moon again?

Maybe a new DSOTM? If I were Omega, I'd make sure that the current Speedmaster Pro was re-certified again and that it's on the wrists of those astronauts when they set foot on the moon. Then change the script on the caseback of the Speedy to "Flight Qualified by NASA for all Manned Space Missions" (get rid of the "in 1965" bit).
