Oooooh! What great miracle braid lanyards that seat would make! Or I’m sure that @Duracuir1 is also ogling the leather!

This has been at a local thrift shop all summer, a 1940s Wilson US Navy ball glove in great shape. It seemed too nice to turn into watch straps, thought I’d leave it for a ball glove collector. Anyway, there it sat until last week when it went on sale for $15 CDN.

That’s a nice glove, agreed that it should go to a collector.

That’s all we need , a thread about a peloton of people trying to peddle their wares about Velocipedes . And so the cycle begins again and around & around it will go until someone gets tyred .
This post deserves this

It’s a Giant Revolt 1, my wife got the Liv Decent 1, Christmas presents to each other : ). I ordered to Kryptonite New York locks, any recommendations there?

That lock is impregnable but it’s a brick. I’d expect to see it on a city commuter bike. My advice is to never let that fine machine out of sight for very long.

I looked at all the locks before I ordered one up for the Gazelle, those Kryptonite ones seem to be the best so thats what I got too.

nicely matches the one for my motorcycle as well... perhaps the start of another collection? Oh no!

HEY! Why not a picture of a watch! I’ll throw in some other stuff to keep the interest up.

an watch or two

an spark plug, about 125 years old

An budgie....a vicious little bastard too

And now, back to our regularly scheduled bicycle stuff

Gee @DaveK , this thread really did get knocked off the rails.

It was a “chain” of events that brought this thread to the topic of budgies and bikes, not that it could have been predicted though… 😗

Thanks everyone for being so great - everyone except @Fritz, who only wants to talk about bicycles these days.

Don’t open that can of worms, bike people are worse than watch people.

Thats the nicest looking classic Gazelle I 've seen for many years. Won't see them in Amsterdam in that condition.
Well you'll be surprised about the average bike in Amsterdam nowadays. Let's say 5 years ago you may have had a point but the average quality of bikes in Amsterdam increased dramatically

I bought the Gazelle last year as NOS from a shop that was struggling before covid and ended up dealing out of a storage unit when covid hit, it was made in 2016. I currently work in a bike shop, building new Giant and Trek products costing anywhere from $750 through $8000 and on up from there. I’m constantly surprised at how these bikes compare so poorly against the Gazelle. It just beats the far eastern built stuff hands down, everything from weld and machining quality through to paint and components, its just a better machine.

Absolutely. However Gazelle is now losing it to the hipsterbikes like Van Moof.

I own an Azor. Yet another league. Something like this
