Note to all. He’s putting you on! He’s retired, so at 65 (or thereabouts), he’ll be 100 in 2056, so he’ll be giving his watches away in 2056, not 2069! Even if he’s retiring at 60, the date will be 2061! I think he’s kidding! I don’t think I’m going to hold my breath.

I’m sure that he is completely sincere. I realized immediately upon reading his post that he is a handsome, powerful man and - most importantly - generous to a fault. 😀

I got this damn psoriatic arthritis but I’m quite fortunate very rarely do I need anything greater than Motrin however over the years I have broke every finger in my right and several on the left hand. I only bring this up as the weather sometimes makes it flair up and yesterday setting my old Connie rolling to and fro let me know the pain is not imaginary. I’m I carried out the task and was not left disabled I painted etc the rest of the day but I do wonder if someday this stuff will get bad enough where it will prevent me from setting a watch. Don’t get me wrong not something I worry about but it may make good sense to give watches away if you hit 100 I mean at that point I wouldn’t want to track time I imagine at that age, if by some rare chance I hit it, a good day would be getting more soup in my mouth than on a bib.

He’s “police retired” so very different from normal retirement...

I plan to bequeath my watches to my grandchildren, but this idea is intriguing. I’m older than you are by a few months, so it must be the impulsivity of youth that had you jumping to this plan. 😁
