I've always wondered about this part (I'm am not fortunate to be a 2914 owner). This holds the Soft Iron shield over the movement?...in other words, it goes between the shield and the caseback?

missed this, but ironically it was @watchyouwant 's eBay auction that brought this to my attention. BTW a true gentleman I must say, he sent me another part I so desperately have been looking for. Precisely why OF is the best watch collector community!!...puts all the other forums to shame.

you are welcome. I need parts too, so sharing/bartering is the answer for all of us. I still have 15 of these springs for restorations. and lately certain watches do not come up for projects. next thing, I will sell, are many JLC MK 11/JLC Geophysique parts. even rarer than omega 1953/railmaster parts. bought them in the mid 90`s from marcus and stocked up, when possible. used a lot over the decades, still many rare mvmt. parts left and , no , no case parts. but some JLC first edition white 12 original dials...... my mil. watchmaker in Sydney has a lot of old rolex parts. and no computer.... exciting times. kind regards. achim
