For me ,this years Rolex/Tudor offerings were a huge success in making previous models even more desirable ,& only makes me appreciate the classics even more . So a big thank you to Rolex/Tudor from me .

Frankly, it goes a bit further for me... that Tudor makes me embarrassed to be a watch collector. Rolex I could care less about, there's not remotely a single design element on a single model of their current offerings that appeals to me, but Tudor had been doing so well in the past few years and now this :/

Well I suppose Tudor took the "Born to dare" slogan a little to seriously when they designed the Black Bay P01, apparently receiving mixed reviews according to the "Hodonkee" folk on the link below 😁

What's funny is that was posted when it was still just a rumor / leak, but here it turns out it's real and of course Hodinkee likes it 🙄

I think Lady Gaga took a shot in designing a watch, being an ambassador for Tudor. 😁

totally agree with this

i just cannot understand how the Tudor that introduced the bb58 last year and rolex that came out with the current ceramic daytona can introduce such uninspired nonsense this year (well, the p01 was inspired, i guess, but truly awful)

why is it so hard to take the modern watches, give them a dash of heritage details, and live happily ever after ?

makes the vintage pieces look SO much better IMO. frankly, it also makes omega look increasingly appealing. the gold speedmaster re-issue blows away anything tudor/rolex have come out with this year

Gee you folks are tough! The consumer who doesn’t presently own or hasn’t owned an earlier version of one of these new offerings is likely whom Rolex is after. The only updated version of a veteran Rolex I really have an intense dislike for is the Air-King. U-G-L-Y, in my opinion. Give me my one owner, 48-year-old Air-King-Date. Retail price in 1971 was $215.00. Not presently on my wrist.

In many ways, both Rolex and Tudor this year have kept last years offerings at the top of the list. Maybe the plan was for a quiet Ish year?

Either way, pieces like the 16710 will just continue to go up in price.

Hi Canuck, Tough crowd maybe but most of us are hard core WIS 👍.I just think its more an honest opinion on whats been offered out yesterday & at the current price point on all new Rolex references , its quite an expensive way to get into Rolex or Tudor . Again I was really looking forward to a updated version of the 79090 etc & Tudor just fell way short in my opinion , and maybe I was just building myself up for a fall . But with the 50th moon landing anniversary this year I am already looking forward to Omegas offerings , so maybe it could be a blessing in disguise .
