Just a shout out to the great book Moonwatch Only, an incredible reference that has allowed me to gain deep and intricate knowledge about Speedmaster Professional Moonwatches. Thank you!

For those of you noobs who are interested in these watches but don’t own the book yet, correct your mistake. The book can save you the cost of it on just one educated watch purchase.

I have no interest in the book and don’t know the authors. But I owe it and them a debt of gratitude.

The download with extras is much cheaper and a good tip too.

That would make this thread oxymoronic now wouldn’t it?

Have the first, black, version of the book. Really like it. Is it worth buying the newer version ?

MWO 2017 covers more Speedmaster chronographs (SpeedyTuesday edition & Baselworld 2017 trilogy...) but also has a chapter on the Mark II to V chronographs and information on the Alaska projects... an enlarged & updated version ::book::
Superb work by the authors... pitty of a few mistakes about the spaceflight missions :(

I have the first edition and consider it an exemplar of a definitive study of a physical product. With such a huge amount of data to be assembled, checked, analysed and structured it would surely have been impossible for all errors to be trapped and eliminated prior to printing, so I'm forgiving of any 'mistakes.'

Although to have it electronically allows for continuous updating/corrections, I feel I need this as a 'book,' the only downside being its huge weight - but that's another indication of quality really.

But only available for Apple, which is quite a disappointment.

Does anyone have a link to the 'download' version ?
I presume it's a PDF with the extras as an app.
    Cheers.

If you are going whole hog or just dipping your beak for Speedie you need this book. This and Speedmaster 101 and you are well armed.

I got my signed copy about 3 years ago, and added the iBooks version as well. It would take me ages to get through all of it though.

Same here - #5. It's still sitting in the box it shipped in. I guess in 40 years I can sell it as "vintage NOS". :p
