I would appreciate some information from anyone who has a parts reference manual if the tension ring to an armored plexi crystal for the pz/px5028 is the same for other crystals of difference reference codes?

Example would a plexi pz5087 tension ring interchange with that of a 5028 etc? Both are 31.62mm in OD

I know some models used the same plexi, but don't have any info on this!

I lost the tension ring for my genuine plexi and am annoyed with this!
    Thanks for chiming in!

The rings are not sold or identified separately....

So would a tension ring from another genuine omega crystal of the same diameter substitute ?
    Eg. say a 5008 ring into a 5072 crystal?

    Or
Is one up for another $100 just for another piece of plastic?

    Doubt it.

To my knowledge, the tension rings are permanently bonded to the plastic crystal.

So yes, it is another $50 to $75 for another crystal.

The tension rings can be easily removed, they are not bonded to the plastic.

You would have to make sure all dimensions match, and without the existing one to compare to I'm not sure how you would do that. And again you can't just buy the tension ring, so you would have to have a donor...

I have 2 tension rings of the px5028. don't know if you are looking for the steel version or the gold version?

Well if it's PX that means yellow gold...PZ is silver coloured.

I sent you a pm a day or two ago, maybe the different time zone caused some delay. Silver would be preferable as it was what I lost. Had a few private emails on this which I am grateful.

What a mess it is with these omega plexi crystals as any other brand watch, generic crystals fit perfectly for a snitch of the cost.
