Tempting, what do you think?

Constellations have always been a place where I consider angels fear to tread unless you know the ground well; but, I am finding this quite tempting. Another poster suggests the dial was originally gold in colour and faded to this "salmon" colour. Appreciate your thoughts on what you think about the dial and the watch in general - asking price is around USD1800. Note that the papers are '67 service papers and the serial is 14223209.

A 2782 with a bumper movement is on my bucket list (but in stainless) so I like it. I think you said in the other post that it's been serviced recently. If it comes with a warranty then I think the price is okay, if you like the dial. I tend to enjoy interesting patina, and this looks nice to me in the photos, but you might not like it when you see it in person. Disclaimer: I'm not at all an expert on value. I'm not a collector. Just a budding enthusiast.

I really like the color of the dial, the patina is amazing. Price is quite high in my opinion, but i'm not an expert.

Crown should be 10 sided?

The Connie-Meisters will chime in, I’m certain. But I think you’re correct on both counts.

If it’s a snap back it’s probably a 2782, if it’s a screw back is probably a 2652. Both should have a decagonal crown.

It all comes down to the dial in person. You might want a few day return window to evaluate the dial in hand to make sure you love it at that price.

turns out to be a 2782-6SC Cal 354

I'll go and check it out and see how it wears and how that dial looks.

Buying watches with character ensures true rarity. Dial looks fine to me. Lots of non-Rolex/Patek/AP tropical watches out there at a steal!

Good call with checking the watch in person first.
In these photos, the watch looks amazing. However, I'm always suspicious when all the photos are in bright light. In reality, the dial could be dark brown/rusty color and not even on the whole surface.

I'm fine with the price. As long as you love it when you see it on your wrist, that is what is important in this hobby.
