Hello.
Let me show you my newly bought Technos in pretty good shape.
I actually paid US$ 100 plus something (with new strap but unknow service history although where I live service cost is ‘affordable’).
I heard that Technos is for low end market. This is an adjusted cal (ETA 2472 based) with apparently screw balance.
Please share your thought. Thanks and
Nice Weekend!

How did you manage to buy one? I've been hunting for one of these for months with no avail!

Lovely watch. We have a little cult of Technos lovers around here- I think these are highly underrated watches.

Depends on who is talking. Low end market to me would be second hand Invictas and Michael Kors.

I guess it depends on your definition of "market". Low end at the time were 1 jewel wonders.
Technos are well made and in the category of Mido, Rado, Zodiac, Glycine, Eterna, Nivada, Wyler, etc. Of course, this is my opinion 😗

Technos was noted for making contemporary “homage” (some would call them knock-offs) of iconic watch designs in the 1970’s.

Most were sold in Asian markets where intellectual property laws were somewhat murky at the time.

However, they mostly had Swiss made ETA or Schlid movements which are of good quality and were easily repaired.

Which is good news for budget watch collectors today. Where else could you get a “C” case pie-pan dialed watch for $100?

This is not my example, but is identical.

Hi. I bought locally in Vietnam where I live. It is from a dealer.

@janice&fred. I believe pieces from Mido, Telda, Wyler... are much more affordable than Omega/Longines/Rolex where I live. And I love bargain finds😀

I'd say they are more "not overpriced" medium to high quality.
Quite a lot of interest in this brand lately, especially the Skylight.

I think they're seriously underated. I have a couple. And like @JwRosenthal said we have a little cult in the bargain thread 😗
Stunningly nice watches. Thanks for sharing pics
