TC1? Advice and comments welcome

Hi All,
Posting some photos of an Omega Time Computer (TC1?) which used to belong to my grandfather - it was his retirement gift after a long stint at an engineering company in 1973 (or 4?)
You can see from the photos that the module has a lot of damage (stored for a long time with the batteries left in). I'd like to get a replacement module - I see a few potential places which offer these, but does anyone here have experience with a specific supplier they can recommend?
I think this is the white gold-filled version but unsure how to tell: the number inside the cover is 196 0020 - is that the model number? Should there also be a serial number?
Thanks for any advice and comments - I'd really like to get this up and running after having it stashed away for many years.
Tim

I can’t tell if it’s yellow or white gold fill from your photos but it certainly one of those 2 models.
Hanno at “Strikes and spares” will sort you out. Case and bracelet need a good revamp too.

Thanks for the link - the case photo is not great, but it's the white gold model.

Well the caseback stated it has 80µm of plating, but why they would bother to plate with white gold I have no idea since it looks exactly the same as steel. You will struggle to find and original module for this, they are like hens teeth but I believe there is a guy who sells a conversion to a Pulsar digital module that externally at least looks exactly like the original watch. The few people who worked on these have I think ceased doing so now.

EDIT, I see watchlovr suggested something similar above.

Case comes in Stainless, white gold plate, 14k yellow gold plate, and solid 18k yellow gold.

For reference purposes, I believe only the case is white gold plated and the bracelet is stainless steel, so if one is needing bracelet links, they don't need to look for gold plated ones, they can just get the stainless steel ones.

Nope. If it’s got a stainless bracelet, it’s wrong.
You do get a steel bracelet that fits but the w/g tc1/2 should have white gold filled elements wrapped round a core, same as the y/g version.

And someone said there was no love for these old electronics...
Sometime I should see If I can get my Fairchild working again. And keep an eye out for a National Semiconductor Novus. Now I have something else to look for. (always liked the LED look.)
