As there was some discussion lately about galvano sandwich dials (aka "gilt" dials) I decided to show you an uncommon specimen out of my collection.

    teller.jpg

It has a salmon/black galvano sandwich dial (pun intended :D)

It is a quite rare watch, not only by its design -
it houses the elusive calibre 30 SC T1 which was built in the limited number of 2400 units only.

And the condition is near mint - it was one of these incredible finds in an oil filled tin can in a wall when they restored a flat in Bulgaria. The can full with watches was walled during the war when the watchmaker had to flee.

    enjoy

I've heard from you guys before a little of this famous "Tin Can Watches" story, but maybe nice for our newer members if you were to retell some of the very juicy details regarding numbers and models?
