One has the option of staying out of a thread which celebrates the life of a world leader who has been generally well-respected. Would anyone here argue that George H.W. Bush was
not generally well-regarded? Perhaps a little self-restraint may be in order when considering posting in such a thread. This goes for the undersigned as well.
There has not been a U.S. president or any other world leader who has not offended someone or some group, nor who have there been world leaders who have not caused injury to someone throughout a time in office. Shall we celebrate no one then?
Perhaps the owners of this site may form a policy that no one is to be lauded unless here unless there is a direct tie-in to the world of horology?
