Another talking watches for everyones attention. Very very Rolex heavy (fortunately or unfortunatley). Still Hodinkee's best series. I was most interested in the Tiffany watch to be honest, but then again I am not a Rolex guy.
I believe that Tiffany watch was made by Movado. It has the exact same case and crown as my grandfather's Movado from the 40's that he gifted me when I was 16. If it is, it is very small, like 30 or 31 mm.
Ho-dinkee : talking women and small-guitars.... Edit : on a serious note ... always nice hearing a passionate watch-nerd nerd out about watches passionately.
"...my family always sorta used watches as a utility... as a tool..." Isn't that how people use watches?
Good episode. Loved the stories of his father and uncle - emotional connection to his collection is awesome.
Read today that Mayer’s House was robbed and some of his watches stolen. https://www.google.com/amp/s/etcana...ry-up-to-200000-worth-of-property-stolen/amp/
