Nope, that's a family piece. Came from Ali's dad (who wore it every day until he passed away a couple of years ago). She wears it most of the time, sometimes she shares. It'll be passed down to our son eventually. Living through Ash's watches does save me a lot of money though. It's like a rental service except I don't pay him.
I am gonna balance out the Rolexes in this thread with this cute little Timex I picked up a while back. Never owned any Timex before and this one is a vintage example (I am also very confused by what the numbers that are signed at the bottom of the dial mean) Except for crystal scratches, the dial is immaculate. Unedited picture taken by my phone camera, I think the colours look just right
Hairs can especially get in the way of a fine, gold watch.... But actually, I think that's another thread ... Found: https://omegaforums.net/threads/hairy-arms-rise-up-aka-haven-for-hirsute-horologists.48113/
I have a few breathing down my neck/wrist? wanting it, but I've so far resisted... ... besides, you have the first dibs!
No worries - my watch buying days are on a long hiatus. If you get a tasty offer, take it. That watch is something a real vintage Longines collector would drool over. There's only a few of us that have even seen that reference in solid gold, let alone with all the trimmings and in that condition. Definitely top 3 of my (former) Longines automatic collection - and you also own number 1. Ed / Hijak owns the other that would battle for 2nd or 3rd with that watch.
Take it he took this one as well @Tony C. ( this was originally posted by Tony C ) Still drool over this picture
