Hello, Two links were added and since I need to shorter a bit the bracelet, I want to take them off. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
The end with the hole has a pin that can be pushed out. Unfortunately it appears that a central link was pried around the pin on the other side. I think if you place a flat head screwdriver in the cut out notch on the replacement link it can be slid in the direction of the arrows.
Hello I am in need of some extra links for my 1170 bracelet. If you are interested in selling them you can PM me. Stuart
Hello Stuart, the bracelet is now very small but perfect for me. I will keep the extra links in case I need to sell the watch. Anyway not sure mine were Omega.
Yep that's the best thing to do. I wish my father kept his extra links, I had to get a generic bracelet as even used Omega ones are just too pricey for me. But I did keep the original.
Here's a comparison. Not the best pictures. They look very similar; 1170 is a little bigger. http://www.old-omegas.com/11701171comp.html
I do believe it is possible to use 1171 links on a 1170, I think the 1170 links are a fraction thicker than the 1170. For my it's about keeping it original, I know it's a small thing, but it would annoy the crap out of me. I don't even like non original straps on my watches, if it is not supposed to be there I don't want it near my watch. I know this is a stupid rule, I know it should not make any difference but I couldn't live with it. My temporary solution is to put a longer clasp on the bracelet until I can get some links.
Here are some pictures of the 653 endlinks. (Taking these pics show me how dirty the bracelet is, sorry for that.)
I guess we share the same love for the sunburst. What ref do you have for the bracelet and endlinks ?
