Hi everyone. I just came across this really cool vintage omega on ebay and wanted to hear your thoughts on it. I'm not thinking about buying it, but just wanted to point it out as I've only seen one similar watch in recent memory:

It's up to $3499 now? I recall discussing it when it was a B.I.N. price of $3299.

I do like the original Omega elephant strap and buckle. You almost never seen these (outside of John Goldberger's book).

It's a bumper chronometer, just what I've started to look for. But I don't think I am about to jump in at that price.

Use the zoom feature on eBay to zoom in on the 2:00 mark on the minute track. Its cracking of the dial paint. Also those spots are bubbling of the paint, similar to my dad's Pie-Pan. That dial is more fragile and damaged than it looks.

Price adjusted, taking into account inflation. If no one buys it now, later the price will be even higher, when it is re-listed.

    Thank-you.

Yes definitely has a case of the bubbles. Just like your dads, though not as bad, it is is none-the-less plenty bad enough and I agree with you

Is that area being touched-up, since I can see it is a little rough compared to the other area of the minute-track?

    Thank-you.
