It seems every manufacturer is dipping into the archives and reissuing updated versions of old designs. There are some great examples, e.g. I love the Tudor Heritage Chrono blue and Oris 65 diver, but I always found something else to spend my watch funds on. Until yesterday, when I picked up the reissue of the Heuer Monza chrono. LE, Titanium and now discontinued. The strap is very comfortable, and easily/infinitely adjustable thanks to the clever clasp design.
This one had a very tidy discount bringing it more in line with what I think it's worth (stock had come from an airport branch of the AD, that had closed - it's hard to sell watches when almost no one is travelling overseas at the moment).
I don't mind the 'fauxtina' lume on the hands and dial, although the white of the hands doesn't really match the aging of the lume if you want to split hairs :whistling:. Apparently the PVD coating the titanium is nothing like the PVD of old that seemed to rub off just by looking at it, but only time will tell how well it wears - fingers crossed, as I think it looks great.

Yes great looking watch for sure. Tag have been dipping into Heuer’s heritage for years now, this is an early Monza re-issue from the early 2000’s. Limited to 150 pieces in 18k Rose Gold running the El Primero movement ...

Gotta love the good old-school HEUER shield logo - much preferred over TAG Heuer branding. But I wouldn’t want to see it on every model, so I’m glad they save the “legacy” logo for specials and reissues, such as this beauty ~

Greatly disappointed at the latest Monaco anniversary offerings. I was hoping they bring back the Dark Lord. The PVD Monza is the closest thing to it.
I enjoy mine, it’s light and comfy.
