I remember lusting over the originals in the 80s. £325 was the cost if I remember correctly. I think they’re a great re-edition but there’s better out there now for that money (inc eBay originals!)

This should help the guys with their vintage listing of the real Tag F1's.

I wish they had followed the pricing model from the Swatch X lux. Sub-$400 would have made for a really fun summer watch.

It looks very close to the original 80s watches but the issue is the price. These are $1350 - 5 times the cost of a MoonSwatch which is crazy

It would be overpriced if they dropped the "1" from the beginning of the price. Insane.

I have completely lost interest in anything modern with Heuer, this puts the last nail in that coffin.

I still like my original Formula 1 gifted to me by my parents in 1988. My first “real” watch. This new one completely ignores the spirt of the first edition.

Price. Price. These aren’t worth the price. They were 200 bucks originally and so that’s like 600 bucks now. Not 1500 bucks.

I never liked the original, but I respected its place as an entry point in the world of horology. It was a cheap and cheerful way to go slightly upmarket from a simple Swatch.

In principle, the new one could achieve the same thing, but not at this price-point! At half price, this might make better sense, but even then it would ignore the fact that Swatch is still around and does things that are more interesting for cheaper in my opinion.
