I initiated the meet up because I wanted to see the Broad Arrow Polerouter that I passed on to my mate, because I was in no position on buying another watch at the time. Plus I missed out on the major gathering with about 30-40 people last month, though it was sort of mix of modern and vintage watches from that gathering.

We started the night with a couple of drinks at an underground hidden whiskey bar, then off to a nice Japanese restaurant with secluded cubicles so no one is bothering us, the lighting wasn't very flattering so pardon me.

No one brought their whole collection and there were only 5 of us, but there were a few nice pieces around. There was a Tudor that was owned by an Armourer in the RAF, 2 Vulcain alarm with quadrant dial! The black dial Vulcain is full set too ::love::

Some unique time only pieces like these ones below as well, that makes me want to have another watch box full of time only watches!

    1. Smiths W10 - last British mechanical watch, 1970
    2. Zodiac 10atm - first generation modern diving watch with rotatable bezel
    3. Junghans Chronometer - West Germany's first wrist chronometer and most accurate at the time; biggest manufacture of chronometers in Germany.
    4. LeCoultre Quartermaster - first and only 24 JLC; 2,500 examples - half black half white dial. Unique calibre to the watch
    5. Doxa - early generation and very quickly dismissed/discontinued dead-seconds complication, calibre Chezard 116, circa 50's
    6. Girard Perregaux Gyromatic - first ever hi-beat movement at 36,000bph, 1966. Calibre 32A first generation of 662 submitted to a bureau of chronometry for testing. 39-jewels. Seiko came second with their hi-beat.
    7. Tissot Antimagnetique - cal 27, world's first Antimag movement, utilised palladium instead of steel in the escapement. First came in 1929/'30.
    8. GUB 28 - Lange's first wristwatch, and also last in-house movement by their original employees before everything was absorbed into the communist watchmaking faculties post-WW2
    9. Omega Seamaster 'kleerback' - a unique automatic calibre 560, a 17-Jewel movement made for the American market to avoid a luxury import tax from Swiss watches. Total of approx. 3000 cal560's made, unknown how many were made into the kleerback model

Didn't really take that many photos too, but thought this can be my first time sharing gtg photos here!

Just had a nice dinner tonight, arranged by my friend in one of my favourite Japanese restaurant to celebrate my birthday yesterday. There were 9 of us and we brought some watches too!

I didn't take that many photos because of the mood lighting, we literally had flashlight from our phones on top of our glass to get some lights before taking some photos! These are a few photos from my phones, apologies for the lighting obviously!

I think there were about more than 20 other watches that aren't even in the photos, mix of modern and vintage too!

Thought I might make this my thread and keep updating it just to share my experience!

Had Tudor event at one of Sydney's finest distillery the other week! Cool thing about the event is when we were separated into groups and sent into a gin masterclass where you mixed your own gin!

And the last one is todays little gtg at a bar that was closed for our private event! Shame that some people already left because the gtg lasted for around 5 hours in total! That sex pile tho!
