I have acquired this Omega seamaster , assured by the vendor thar everything is original, including the dial. However i am troubled by the -swiss made- , i could not find any Seamasters with this designation, the majority has simply « swiss made « . Please advice !
Thank you

It’s not uncommon to come across ‘-swiss made-‘ on late 60’s/early 70’s dials.
If you look up Omega model no. 168.024 you will find plenty with this style.

Ok, thank you NoddyMan ! The presence of bubbles, the strange S in Seamaster and the swiss made issue made me think that i have been duped ( long live Chrono24 ;-)

The dashes are fine towards e end of the 60’s.

The bubbles are age related.

Thank you very much all of you ! Unfortunately the watch does not work ( the second hand does not move at all) , the vendor has kindly agreed to repair free of charge. I was wondering whether Omega still supplies spare part for those Seamasters or would it be « China made » parts ?

Hmm that isn’t a great deal with that dial.
If you’re happy that’s all that matters.

Was it sold as serviced?

Parts are available if the watchmaker has an omega parts account. Otherwise you’re looking at sourcing via the secondary market.

the seller is a watchmaker from Holland, he was surprised that there was a problem and said that he would repair it free of charge. I looked at his posts, he makes clocks : Rene Ekelmans .

looks like you repair watches too, David ! In fact , when I first received it and put in on my arm I felt the rotor swinging inside the watch and then suddenly it was blocked, no swining any more , the second hand stopped and would not move any more at all. I tried winding the watch by hand, no result. Can one deduce anything from this description or could it be many different "ilnesses" ?

I absolutely don’t repair watches unfortunately. I just had countless ones serviced or repaired by people who do know what they’re doing.
Let the seller have a look and hopefully they can resolve.

I would just confirm though whether it’s been fully serviced and this is simply a post service issue (it happens), or it’s just been checked and regulated. They’re two very different things as you can check and regulate a watch to run ok, even when it’s in dire need of a service and is bone dry.

Possibly a loose screw has fallen out and blocked the rotor or the balance.
