Hello to those who love vintage Omega.
I've been infected by the vintage Omega bug for about 2.5 years now and just don't seem to be able to shake it off!
Still rather new to the watch world and like many brands and styles but when I see a vintage Omega while scrolling the endless streams of iterations I must and always pause.

There's something different with these watches.
An aesthetic that draws me in for some reason I can't quite describe...yet!
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. After all it is the omegaforums.

Wanted to just share some thoughts with, I hope, like minded people and share a true beauty I know will be appreciated.
Picked her up a week or so ago.
Let me know what you think?

That is rather interesting, initially looking at the photos I’m thinking that’s a really nice and somewhat rare example of an immaculately kept gold-plated Seamaster Cosmic as nearly all of them have some case wear-through, but then I see in the last pic this is the even rarer 18K solid gold cased version of the Cosmic, and a very good one at that.

It’s definitely one of the more unique pieces a new member has posted on signup, and a wonderful example. I’m sure it looks fantastic on the wrist with those sharp edges and starburst finishing on the bezel. I wonder how much it must weigh too as this case design is quite substantial and chunky compared to most watches of that era!

BTW I edited the title to make it a bit more descriptive of the watch to make it easier for people to search for it in the future.

A very nice example. I was going to comment about the lack of wear on the caseback as @dsio has but I saw he had seen the reason why as well.

The number in the little hallmark will tell you who made the case for Omega but I can't make it out in the photo.
