Several years ago I was in the market for a 14060, ended up with a 16710. Sub itch still needs stratching. New maxi case is a no go for me and ceramic does not float my boat anyway.

I recently purchased a BB 58, size wise it's very similar to the 5 digit Rolexes, and while I still love the 14060 having been the market at 4s, cannot bring my self to pay 6s. Also love the look of the BB58, and I think the movement exceeds the 3000 and the 3135.

You could sell the ST2 get a black bay and something else (maybe 3592).

If hooked on sub if deffo go 5 digit and I love the simplicity of the the 14060

Difficult choice, Ultraman is cool

Such a shame... Seems to me that too many speculators add to the problem of increased LE production, something we all have an opinion on. Oh how the false hype and unpaid marketing seems a distant blur on the ST2. Still, we can big up the 50th arrival with the hope of the next snoopy, or buy a Rolex to almost guarantee a non loss investment

Having missed 14060 ~$4k (I wasn't looking then), I agree with you that $6k seems a bit high. Did you consider the 79230? What tipped you towards the BB58? The blue 79230 has really been growing on me.

Not wishing to hijack the OP thread, I'll leave it at size mainly, and the modern movement with silicon spring and 70hrs PR.

This is a different beast to the regular BB. Only 38mm x 11.7mm

I'll be writing up my first impressions in about a week as it's new in the door. (So yes I'm biased)

Hat tip to monochrome for the comparison pic
