The guy bought it for $1500 in the 90's. Holy crap. He's looking to sell and I recommended he sign up on the vintage rolex forum and then take this to auction.
Something seems off with it, maybe just the way the pictures color is showing... silver numbers on the bezel seem off, should be white?
It is fake and someone tried to poorly age it. Terrible. Look at where the blue goes between the 6 on the right and 8 on the left side of bezel. A 6542 bezel has the blue transition point above those two numbers, not splitting the numbers. This is a cheap replica that appeared in the early 2010s. Not a particularly good one.
