Nice watch. I would buy it. Not everything has to be a bargain. And keep the crown

At first I thought it was a later C-Case style crown

But indeed these Pie Pan style crowns are really hard to use and handwind, so I guess someone's had it 😁

Interesting to see that April 1964 extract for a 19.99M serial. Just goes to show that the serial number charts need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Also interesting that you have owned two watches with those last 4 digits rotated. 😁

Haha I had not spotted that - I didn't actually buy the second example due to the condition. I just noticed it for sale somewhere and took screenshots as I noticed it was very similar to mine and wanted to check! 😀

So, I've bought it - it will arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll post a few pictures then. I can't wait to see how it looks live!

Have a nice evening 😀

Hello everyone,

The watch arrived today. I am thrilled, the dial is perfect to the naked eye, a few particles of luminous material can be seen with a magnifying glass. The movement looks good. The case also looks very good - I think the edges are unpolished. What do you think?

The crown is of course a very special feature 😀. The original crown has been reworked to make it easier to grip - in the close-up you can see some green stuff in the grooves. No idea what that is...

So, I'm very pleased.🥰 The contrast between the hands and indexes and the silver dial is really great! Thank you very much for your support.

PS: I am once again shocked at how bad the condition looks in the detailed photos, on the arm it looks like new.

Interesting home-made modification to the crown. Less wear than expected to the case top.

Very nice watch.

If anyone is interested, I would be willing to exchange the special crown for a normal original one ::psy::

Someone might want to change the crown in to this one. 😁

The OP’s watch is on the lower side.

Nice looking watch. I've never seen that kind of modification to a decagonal crown, but it's interesting for sure. As for the lugs, I can't really tell whether they have been lightly polished or just showing some natural aging. If polished, it was done carefully by someone who knew what they were doing. For comparison, here are photos of the lugs on my reference 14900 which I know to be unpolished.
