Super Early Seamaster Chronograph, Caliber 321. Reference 2757-1?

I just received this in the mail today.





I can't seem to find much information online.

I believe it is a very early Seamaster chronograph. 32mm in diameter! The letters on the snap back case are very faded, but still visible:







It carries a very clean 321 movement.






The watch is claimed to be waterproof. You'll notice the application of a washer across the inner edge of the back:



The watch is very difficult to photograph and I've yet to be successful. Perhaps my brother can take better pictures.



What are your thoughts on it? Could you shed some light on the model and its place in the Seamaster line?

I don't want to spoil your party but this is a re-cased Seamaster chronograph, or a chrono top with the wrong back.
The dauphine hands are correct while the chrono is wrong and the stick hands were black painted instead of steel.
The dial has some problems too, near the foot between 1 and 2; too much pressure there and i'm afraid it will remain like that.

2757 is a caseback for a seamaster calendar and not a chronograph.

Oh my! Well, the seller offered a return policy. Still a disappointment...

I thought that the reference was weird, since I saw a 2757 Seamaster calendar - but I thought perhaps the -1 took it along a different path. Thanks for the information.

That Malaysian Seamaster has the hands painted but the correct ones. Dial was probably exposed to moisture and looking better at the hands, the reason of repaint is oxidation.
That one is severely worn but the movement looks nice (but not some 5500 Euros nice).
Just like yours, it was delivered to United States.
Out of curiosity, what did you pay for ?

That's not far off the mark for just a complete clean 321 movement in today's market.

I had no idea a 321 Omega movements demanded so much. It's absolutely crazy.

The discount came from the "Ebay Bucks" I used.

I'll consider keeping it. He's already OK's the return. If one of you would like it, though, PM me and if I decide on returning it, I could give it to you for the same price.

If you intend to keep it, you could try to search for the correct back, although a CK 2886 is not an easy find nor i can say it's the correct ref. for yours. As for the hands, you may try to remove paint first.
