    I can't seem to find this specific design and I'd like to know whether it can be genuine or a redial. Everything about it is original (seemingly). Also, when did Omega start introducing holograms in the center with the logo ? Should this one have on ?

    I really can't help much with the original or redial on this one. I would have thought that these would have metal markers, but many watch companies would do black enamel versions of their dials back in the 1930's, so it very well could be original. Hands look right to me. Logo looks correct, too.

    Omega never had "holograms" with their logo on the crystal. You must be thinking of that watch company that uses a crown. The Omega logo was just part of the injection mold used to make the crystal. It's actually inside the crystal, so it can't be buffed off. AFAIK, Omega started doing this sometime around 1950, about the same time that they started signing the crowns.

    So if that watch has a signed crown or crystal, it is a more modern replacement.

    Yeah you understood what I mean. I didn't know how to call them nor how they're "done". That's what I wanted to know, that they started doing it in the 50s.
    Back on course, I too was thinking of the lack of markers but... as you said it's viable. This one does not have such a "hologram" afaik. Though it doesn't look to be a crystal from the 30s. Does it ?

    The original crystal was very likely glass.

    They were replaced with plastic ones beginning in the 1950's.

    A vintage collector like @Tire-comedon may be able to add some info.

    Hi,
    Although always difficult to be afirmative on a picture, the dial looks original to me. The crown is very likely to be original too, with its very specific design.
    It looks like a Filenios, here in a 1937 Italian catalog :

    I know two variations of the case for this model. This one is the later one, with the crown integrated in the case.

    Notice that Yann said "one" of mine says hello, who else wonders one of how many?

    Yann = consistent amazement.

    Thanks guys. Yea I know the crown is original. It was the dial that I was a bit worried. Do you mind telling me the dimensions of yours (length/width) ?
    I asked the seller but hasn't responded yet. I'm assuming it's slightly on the small side with the width probably no more than 34mm or so...
    And yes, there are a few of variations to this... None of mine I've seen though...

    PS: I can get it for cheap, but will I sell it for not cheap ? :rolleyes:
