Suit and Tuxedo - Pick a Watch

So I have a wedding coming up that I have to attend, and I'm deciding already what watch to wear...

There is a big debate about whether or not to wear a watch at all with a tuxedo, but I think most men do anyway.

I almost feel that a chronograph as it seems to casual, and does a metal bracelet possibly?

Torn between my 311.30 Speedmaster, 2254.50, or a 3559 Schumacher...

Thoughts? Any rules I should abide by?

None of those you just mentioned, that is if you follow a purist view... https://www.gentlemansgazette.com/black-tie-watch/

but then, you can always say "I wear what I ever I want"

Anything you deem "dressy" with a black leather strap

A Speedy probably won't fit well under french cuffs and will look a little out of place with a tux. May I suggest a nice 18kt Connie.
Can't go wrong with that. If you live in Los Angeles I can lend you one. You will just have to leave a deposit. :D

If you rarely wear a dress watch for formal occasions I recommend an Orient Bambino. Great super affordable and a bunch of variations.

IMHO there must be some continuity between the watch, the suit, and the links/studs. If wearing a tux and gold links, then a gold watch, two-tone or at least gold dial furniture might work. A vintage watch, particularly a steel chrono with a faded bezel, might look "tired" under a sharp black tux. But a Speediorite, Cairelli or well-preserved Fifty Fathoms could be great. Don't get too bogged down with labels; a steel chrono can be formal enough if it's paired well.

Assuming black tie and a traditional tux I would wear a thin dress watch with a black band and match my cufflinks and studs to the metal of my choice of watch - or vice versa. Simple, understated dial.

    Or nothing.

With a tux a white or silver dial with two or three hands is probably the best timepiece you can hope for. Unfortunately none of the choices you mention fit the bill, but of the three the Speedy Pro is the best choice as the dial isn't quite as sporty / casual as the 2254 and Schumacher. Pair it with a croc / alligator strap that matches the color and finish of your belt and shoes and it should be a sharp overall getup.
13mm thickness is right on the edge of wearability under the cuff so ymmv.
So many affordable dress watch options out there that suggesting one is foolhardy. If you must go that route make sure it matches with your overall aesthetic and the cut / finish of the suits and tuxes you wear most.

It doesn't get any better than a vintage AP ultra-thin.

Nothing says "Dress-up Nights" like a Patek 5115. A simple time-keeper with an enamel dial always looked just right :)

I think a Speedmaster would look good with this tux:

Rolex Cellini, hard to specify which, I've almost never seen two of the same. I like rectangles, black straps, and black faces. Even then there are so many! But honestly, wear any nice mech watch these days and you are doing very well. Post lots of pics!
