Wanted a few pairs of eyes to contemplate this watch.

It is a F series 2003 and I’m unsure if the bezel insert is correct.
Also, how does one evaluate the crystal for originality? This one seems rather newish for 15 years old.

Supposedly serviced, but y’all know how that goes, if I made a deal it would hinge on an evaluation period with my WM.

Any other observations that point to aftermarket or Rolex service parts?

It appears it has been polished along with bracelet but not terribly. Is this how y’all see it? How would this rank to your eyes?

One great thing is the bracelet fits my big ol’ wrist perfectly.

Thanks for the hand-holding assistance while I gingerly work my way through the Rolex minefield😁

If the crystal is original, and the watch is not a fake (and it doesn't look like a fake to me), it will have a laser etched Rolex Crown on it at the 6:00 position. You may have to move the watch around under light to get the right angle, but it's not that hard to spot. It is near the outer edge of the crystal, next to the bevel.

I found this on line. It is definitely not this easy to spot, but it will give you an idea of where to look.

Since you are on the topic of possible fakes, if you remove the bracelet, the SN is under one lug and the model number the other. It looks like a 16610. Obviously not that hard to fake those, but if they aren't there, it's definitely suspect.

I’m sure it is not a fake, just trying to see what might have been swapped out at service, especially the insert/hands/crystal and then how to value any downgrades from original.

My WM can evaluate the movement if all the outward features pass muster.

Yes, a 16610
