Offering a truly exceptional example of 1940s dress watch design: a Junghans vintage dress watch in remarkable, near NOS condition. This is a treasure and one of the finest vintage dress watches I’ve come across, blending art deco elegance with Bauhaus minimalism.

Key Features:

  • Mint original dial: Stunning dual-color reflective/mirror salmon and black dial with Roman numerals.
  • Original hands: Gorgeous rose gold/salmon-tone hands with a refined Bauhaus-inspired design and small seconds sub-dial.
  • Pristine unpolished case: Crisp, unpolished 31.8mm (excluding crown) with a beautiful untouched finish. Sharp lugs. Case itself is most likely chrome plated case with a stainless steel caseback
  • Fixed 18mm lugs
  • Original caseback: Immaculate condition, never tampered with.
  • Original proprietary Junghans movement: Featuring the Junghans Caliber J80, a manual-wind caliber operates at 18,000 beats per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.

Condition:

The watch is running well and keeping accurate time for a piece of its age.

Why It’s Special:

This Junghans stands out as a rare mid-century masterpiece, balancing bold art deco color play with the simplicity of Bauhaus functionality. The reflective salmon dial with contrasting black elements creates an unmatched visual impact.
