I am selling my stunning early 1940s Mulco Gilt Dial Steel Chronograph, in nearly NOS condition

This is IMO one of the best condition gilt dial chronographs I have ever seen from the 1940s. It was purchased NOS from a well known dealer in Europe. The original listing is here:

    http://www.sfranceschetti.com/scheda.asp?l=_eng&cod=58892

Case is 37mm and completely unpolished, strap is actually original to the watch and shows light wear since I wore the watch a few times. As you can see the watch had original purple backing and was likely unworn and unopened when I purchased it. Crystal may have one light grazing between 12 and 1 near the case edge, but very hard to see. Please note the lugs are fixed bars, so you can change the strap but it will need to be a special fixed bar strap made for the watch.

Service history is unknown but watch functions perfectly. The story from the dealer when I bought it was he purchased it from child of the original owner and it had literally been found in a drawer after 80 years.

The watch is now for sale in a no-reserve auction on Ebay. If an OF member wins I will ship for free at my expense CONUS, or at my cost internationally. Additionally, I will honor a lower buy it now price for OF members (5k vs 5500 on ebay)

    The auction is here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/323708872961Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

I have perfect feedback on Ebay, OF, and TRF so bid with confidence. Unfortunately this does not get enough wrist time and I limit the # of watches i hold so the collection doesn't get out of control, so this should go to an owner that will value such a special piece

    Thx OF for the space

I don't understand. Is there a sale price on this watch or is this just an advertisement for your eBay listing, after which you'll stiff eBay of it's fees and relay that cost savings over to a buyer?

How much do you want for this watch?

    GLWS!

The watch is for sale for 5k to of members. Or feel free to bid. I don't stiff ebay for fees once it gets real bids. it will sell there but if it goes to an of member at a different price I will ship For free.

Yes. Price is 5k to of members and I'll take down the listing. Once it gets real bids on ebay I tend to let it run to completion.

I honestly don't know what the right price is for this piece. I do know I paid more than the price I am asking but I also know I probably overpaid.

Honestly, I'm just confused by the above line. This is a confusing listing format. It's for sale on eBay, and if you win and you are an OF member you get free shipping, and it's for 5k but on eBay there is no BIN option for $5500.

Glad it is clear. I just didn't understand the terms of sale. GLWS!

sorry for any confusion. there IS a buy it now price on ebay for 5500 i dont know why it isn't displaying properly. i guess my thought was a) this is a very hard piece to price, b) give OF members a chance at a lower fixed price than ebay, or c) let OF members bid and try and get it at a lower price w/ free shipping.
