Both are winners, but faced with the same choice I went with the 1171 and have no regrets. I do change it up now and again and fit a leather strap, always fun to give it a different look for a while. The 1171 gets the lions share though.

Too funny -- this is currently seared into my brain as well due to reading it almost nightly to my son.

I'm firmly in agreement with "either/ both" -- I like the thought of a vintage-look bracelet that is not too heavy (my '67 is on a light aftermarket bracelet, and I like the lighter weight of it as compared to the much heavier metal bracelet on my PO), as well as a black fabric strap. Two totally different looks, but both look great.

Mine has been on a black leather deployant with silver/grey stitching since I picked it up, at some point I'll put in on an 1175 but very happy for now!

I have the Bob's watch Snoopy copy + real Omega deployment clasp waiting for mine when it finally arrives. I may try it in my Speedmaster BA bracelet at some point but I wear most of my bracelet watches on straps so no doubt will continue with this one.
