Thought this might grab Kyle's attention :D

    I've just picked up this
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/26110644...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_7027wt_1344Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
but it doesn't come with a strap, now the obvious choice would be black leather, but what else might work on this? Can I see some examples of non-black leather straps with a black dial?

    $297? He shoots, he scores!

Dark brown straps have been mated with black dialed watches for many years and they look good.

EDIT: see above. Steve just beat me to it, but he illustrated it.

I have tried a few in brown. I especially like the way they look on a vintage watch with a patina.

I know! Thrilled with the price. My first honeycomb dial.

I'll try a brown strap when it gets here. I can't find "rusty watch" - is that it - on the web?

I'm looking at Milanowatchbands as a seller on eBay. Has anybody dealt with them?

What are the good brands? I've heard of Hirsch and Zwc. I'd like to spend less than ~$35 per strap?

At some point I might need to get you to package up a box of straps from rust and ship them out, with some appropriate lies to customs ;)

    Financial cost: low
Ego cost : high, forces Americans to recognise there is a world outside CONUS! (or ANUS - ANywhere in the US) ;)

Shipping exotic animal skins out of one country into another can be risky. Environmental protection laws, CITES, can lead to confiscation, as Dennis has stated. However even Croco or Alligator patterned leather has been known to be seized, as Customs officials don't always know their Ostriches from their Emus.

I don't have much Omega wisdom to impart, but perhaps I can make up for the deficiency here. I'd like to put you fellers on to Kelaran USA. http://stores.ebay.com/KELARAN-USA
I get most of my alligator from here. Pretty good stuff for the price, IMO.
