Don't mention straps around me. I've been on a buying frenzy. Vintage NOS on fleaBay, crocodile, ostrich and various snakes from SE Asia.

Oh, and buckles from Jolly Olde England...

Why on earth would you try and remove Spring bars from the dial side of the lugs?

I didn't. He said come at them from behind, which is what I did. Were you just implying that was so obvious it needn't have been said?

I was implying that since he "learned that one the hard way"... that he was... less than Mensa bright. ;)

Wow, that one is perfect (and gorgeous ::love::) for most of my needs/wants... where is it from?

Coincidently, I have three new leathers arriving today, myself... Kelarans.

Combat Straps is highly recommended. Very good quality, great service and reasonable pricing for such high quality work.
Have ordered a bunch of straps from them and always delighted..

disclaimer: no relation to Combat in any way

    Just in from Florida (KelaranUSA):

IMG_1610.JPG a shark, a python, and an alligator (sure glad it's just the skins!):

I like all three. They're soft, medium thickness, and pleasing colors.
Now, to match them with watches ::psy::!

How's the snake in terms of sort of segmenting (for lack of a better term) when it bends? I have a habit of buying leather croc pattern rather than real croc or gator because some of the real reptile straps I've had (including the Omega OEM PO one which costs a fortune) sort of only bend at the creases between the scales and end up a polygon shape on your wrist rather than a smooth curve which I found annoying. Those segments between scales are also where the OEM ones start to tear and get weak too.

Funny that you ask, because the python is the first one I tried on the first watch just now!

    IMG_1611.JPG IMG_1612.JPG IMG_1613.JPG IMG_1614.JPG

The GP came at the same time as the straps just an hour ago, so it's kind of like Christmas in May here at the 'Dude' ranch!

It wears very nicely; very comfy on the wrist. I'm not getting that polygon affect you mentioned, but I need to add a strap hole so that I can wear it a bit more tightly on my 6.75 inch wrist.

It's definitely worth a try at only $18, which, to me, is a remarkable price! I would've paid three times that for this one (don't tell Kelaran!)

Man I'd love to get some of those but unfortunately we can't get them shipped here for customs and quarantine reasons on account of being an Island with native flora and fauna and Kelaran wouldn't send them for that reason last time I tried.
