Hi there! Recently started browsing thru the forums again after a 7 year hiatus from the watch world! Took out my Connie from the safe but not finding the occasion to wear it paired with its black leather strap. I was thinking a brown leather strap or a Milanese mesh. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Btw @X350 XRJ thanks for the watch I’m still enjoying it 7 years on 😀

Vintage watch with 18mm lugs. Too many options to give you.
Omega boutique still sells plenty of straps that would suit with an Omega buckle.

Simple rule is buy the better straps. Plenty of cheap straps but as always you get what you pay for.

Can’t go wrong with a Hirsh

I went a little crazy with straps from cheapestnatostraps.com over the last few years. I picked up maybe 10-20 straps in 18mm. They’re inexpensive which helped me get an idea for what I actually liked before dropping more money on a higher quality strap.

I like Rios’ and Veblenist’s straps. Great quality for the money in my opinion.

I'd consider getting a Milanese or mesh strap. I find the Omega ones from this time period very comfortable. I might be posting some for sale on here, so PM if you want a first look.

Is a BoR bracelet an option for you?
That would look sharp on that Connie!

Did you ever tried a perlon strap? I used to buy some from the brand Eulit, sometimes you can still find some NOS from the 60s-80s

I believe I've seen a few people mention that you can get new ones from Omega. Other than that it's probably best to keep an eye on the accessories forum: https://omegaforums.net/forums/watch-parts-accessories-for-sale/

I recently decided to pickup a mesh stainless steel bracelet for my chronostop. I ended up finding one on ebay but used the accessories forum as a comparison for price and condition.

I just ordered a 3010 BOR bracelet from Omega today with plans to put it on my 2652-1 Connie. The bracelet is in stock, however, the 511 end links are on back order with expected delivery in 8-10 weeks.🙁

For a more formal look…my 14902SC-61 is currently on a Vollmer “Fellbach” mesh bracelet with curved ends.
