Hi Everyone, I thought I'd ordered the correct strap for my new Seamaster Professional 300m Ceramic (Diver) but just can't get the 2nd spring bar to drop into place. The holes seem to line up so maybe I'm doing something wrong? Has anyone else managed to fit a 98000037 Black Rubber Strap to a SMP300, (this is the non waterproof strap)? While I was fiddling round I though I'd try the black Nato strap that came with my Speedmaster - see photos' - I think this looks good? Also, I had a go at fitting the 98000037 to my Speedmaster, see photos - I think this works as well? However, I would be interested if anyone has got the 98000037 to fit on a SMP300, (which was the reason I bought the strap!) Thanks
Yes, it's described as rubber but not waterproof - you can find it under 'rubber straps' at www.ofrei.com. The annoying thing is that I've seen photos with it fitted to other SMP's?
I think it looks a little out of place on the Speedy as I tend not to like "flush" curved ended straps on that particular case, but if you like it you should keep rocking it. But the strange thing is that usually PO 2500 fitting cuved ended straps will fit the Speedy case, but not SMP straps. It looks like your particular 98000037 was not fitted correctly from the factory. I've tried fitting curved ended straps between my 3572 and 2254 and they never work.
Hi Everyone, It continued to annoy me that I couldn't get this strap (98000037 Black Rubber) to fit on my new SMP 300m Ceramic so I put some time aside and set about trying various different 20mm spring bars and 'hey presto!' the 3rd pair I tried went 'click' (after a bit of wiggling!') Photo's below don't do it justice as this strap looks awesome in the flesh, (the finish of the strap is superb & the fit against the case is completely flush). -
Picked it up from Ebay for £100 (as new condition) so I was well pleased. The only thing to watch is it's not waterproof.
No really, can I see a full shot of you, you must be a really big guy. Like scary Russian special forces type big LOL.
