Exacto knife to cut the leather? What is the putty knife used for? How are you burnishing the edges of the leather? They turned out really nice.

Visible improvement. I too would like to get some info on the tools you use and maybe some walkthrough of how it all goes.

The putty one to thin the leather :

dye + the white plastic tool to burnish the edge. But depending on the strap, I don't use always the black dye. On this for a forum member, I let it natural for the vintage style :

You might consider making straps for trench watches and learning to sew them on.

Here is a very small example of a strap sewn onto a case.

The fact is I don't own any trenches watch... And as I do strap mainly for myself ( selling some of them to feed the leather stock..).. But it is Interesting to learn new sewing style... I will look at it ;)
Edit: looking at your pic I don't see any issue here... Except that I need the watch to sew the strap on :)

It's not a common thing, but I would have used your services had they been available.

    I reuse that buckle too!

    Really great work, bravo!
I like leather a lot and would love to learn to make straps like this. (Not sure I would ultimately have the patience, though).
I particularly like the ones you made from so called "ammo" leatther.
Is the leather sold especially for straps or do you actually buy old ammo bags?

PS edit - and it looks really great on that black chronograph. What is it by the way?

    Best regards,
    S

    I see! Good job!

The problem for me now is to find a good strapholic group to discuss and cure myself...
