Hey gents, Poking around for a bracelet, and I'm curious to know how bracelets are typically measured. Some straps I've seen advertised list the actual length of both halves of the strap. I usually go for something like 180 mm total length, a bit over 7 inches and my wrist measures about 7.5 inches. But when it comes to bracelets, there's the clasp which kind of throws off the measurements. So if my wrist is 7.5, how long a bracelet do I need? Will 6.5 inches do once attached to the watch? (side note: inches, WTH?) Thanks! J
You need your watch measurement from both lugs like my Speedies which are 40mm or 1.6". Then add that to your bracelet length for total size over all. Hope that helps.
It depends on the bracelets total size. The bracelet it self will have a total length given to it depending who makes it. Some will have extra links available for making larger. The clasp adjustments are for finer tuning. Do you have a bracelet in hand or thinking on one?
Well, wondering generally, but may be in the market for an unobtanium 7912 or something like that soon.
Can you find out the length of it? Is that a real bracelet. By the sound of it you won't be able to obtain one.lol
The 7912 bracelet came with older model speedmasters, like 2998 and the like. Not easy to find. There's a well worn one on ebay that's 6.5 inches, just not sure how to transpose that to my wrist.
I think that would be 6.5" for the bracelet and 1.6" for the watch. A total of 8.1" which should work well for you I assume. Depends how much can be taken up by the clasp.
