depends on how much you wanna blow on strap
Here is my highest quality strap. Probably went overboard, but you can’t take it with you

Beware leather straps with the curves ends. They look great on the watch but I fitted my Speedy with a black leather Hirsch item a few years ago and was disappointed to discover that the ends had marked the case.

Now running a £10 NATO style nylon item

Anyone else seen the same problem?

Just wait until you see what your cheap NATO does to the back in a few years.

Spectre/ 300mc needs a more military style strap. A nice thin brown leather and black leather nato or 3 ring Zulu look good. 3 ring zulus tend to have to be custom made.

Darn it you are right. I've been keeping the strap washed and clean in order to avoid the dirt abrasion that the curved leather strap ends created.

No unslightly patching but on closer inspection some modulated wear has occurred on the circular edge surrounding the sea creature aligned with the pitch of the woven nylon material. Grrr

    Time for a new strap.
