Strap & Bracelet Options for Speedy Tuesday 1

Hello everyone, first post here on the forums but I have absolutely loved lurking and learning! I just purchased a brand new ST1 and am hoping to pick up a couple of extra options for straps/bracelets. I would love your advice and opinions.

Strap - I LOVE the way that this watch looks on the Silver Snoopy strap with the white stitching and wanted to go in this direction. I was wondering if Omega makes a similar strap with a rubber interior (instead of leather). I would love to be able to wear the watch to the gym and not worry about the leather. Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

Bracelet - This is where I am a total novice and could use some ideas. I am not a huge fan of the current generation Moonwatch bracelet and would love some shots of your favorite bracelets through the years. For reference, the picture below is one that I like much better but I have no idea how to obtain it.

Thanks for your help!

From the tiny picture you've provided it looks like it's a ref 1479 bracelet, shouldn't be that hard to get. It's not as desirable as the ref 1450 with good reason, I'm told. Other suggestions - look into 1498/1499, they have the taper that modern refs don't.

Gym watch? Not sure if ST1 is the best choice for that but I guess check out omega's rubber straps. @yinzerniner is the expert on OEM pairings. He had a ST1 pairing with rubber that I was impressed by!

Thanks for the reply! I'll have to to look into the bracelets that you mentioned. I definitely like the look of the older bracelets better.

I certainly wouldn't wear it as an every day gym watch, but I also don't want to have to worry about the leather. I know other companies make nylon straps with rubber interior as opposed to the leather which would be great.

NATO

I have never been a huge fan of the Nato straps, but I will certainly try out the one that comes with the watch. Do you have a favorite that you would recommend?

I really like the maratac for the price. Crown & Buckle, Phoenix and Toxic offer more options and are generally well liked.

I'm more of a leather strap guy, and actually that's exactly what you want to age leather... so buy a good leather strap, not oem (if you insist oem, go JR), and wear the hell out of it.

Thanks for the thoughts, perhaps you are right!

If you like the 1171 bracelet I've got one posted on WUS forums! Cheers.

Forgive my ignorance, but what are the WUS forums?

I tried mine on tons of bracelets, straps and Nato's. Ended up with the 1450. I think is the best fit.

How did the end links fit with this bracelet?
I just acquired a 1450/808 holy grail and was curious as I am debating between putting it on my ST1 or my 145.022 (I am not sure if the hole locations in the lugs were moved over the years).
Thank you!!

808’s fit perfectly on the ST1
It’s a very comfortable bracelet so I am sure you will end up like me and buying more 1450’s for your other Speedy’s. That said I believe this bracelet is a good fit for modern speedmasters and not vintage ones.

Thanks a ton everyone! I have decided to go with the Silver Snoopy Strap and also the 1171/633. That will give me plenty of options. They both seem like great options for this watch and I can't wait to get my hands on it!
