    Any thoughts on the serial number on this 861 movement out of a Teutonic?
    2.9mill would suggest 1902! Which obviously isn't right.
    If it's 29mill (missing last number) it's 1970 so still to early.
    Or is it some kind of Service movement?

    Looks like a franken movement to me. Graining is missing on the escape wheel bridge and possibly the balance cock. Balance has 3 spokes (of the wrong shape) instead of 4 spokes. Personally I would avoid this one...

    @Archer It was offered to me earlier in the week so glad I checked, I will have to politely decline it. Any thoughts on where that serial number has come from though?...

    From whatever brand of movement that bridge is from - it's not Omega IMO...
