Hi all...I’m looking at a straight-writing Speedmaster with a case marked 145.022-69 but a movement in the 32 million range. That would date it to1972-3...Is this a problem? Shouldn’t the movement be closer to 27 million if it were from 1969? Any clarification appreciated!!

32mill number is correct and the SW was issued through to 1973, so no problem. Range mainly 31.000.xxx - 32.857.xxx
Mine is 31.622.xxx from July '71.
Your case reference (-69) is also OK.

Thanks! Very helpful . Mine says 69-ST.. I don’t see that listed .. but I am guessing that is ok too.

Yes, 145022 - 69 ST inside the caseback. ST just means Steel.

    Thanks. Always wondered about that!
